StormWater in the Las Vegas Desert
City of Las Vegas Staff from the Environmental Division/ Public Works and artist Myranda Bair to lead art education programing in conjunction with Storm Water Quality Awareness. Myranda Bair will create conservation focused art curriculum in partnership with CLV staff and middle school teachers. This partnership will culminate in the completion of four custom painted storm drain murals for four different middle school wards in the City of Las Vegas. These murals will be the result of an educational collaboration between 7th grade science students and Myranda Bair. This project will allow for education on conservation, water cycles, and how the city can better maintain healthy storm water. In addition to this education, students and community members will feel more connected to their direct roll in environmental conservation for Las Vegas.
